Can Our City Afford its Future?TM
Project: Children’s Park in Harvest, a master-planned residential community within AllianceTexas
Can Our City Afford Its Future?™
Insight’s modeling protocol, Development Simulation Modeling (DSM), documents a city’s past land use and forecasts its future growth, projecting the City’s financial health under different city planning, development, and redevelopment scenarios, supporting reduced risks of future zoning, annexation, and land use alternatives to answer the critical question: “Can our city afford its future?”
Alternative outcomes help communities determine the optimal balance between their residential and commercial tax bases, project future capital and operating needs, and support effective communication with bond rating agencies.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
Representative clients include dozens of cities throughout the United States, as well as highly effective economic development corporations (EDCs), who rely on Insight’s independent analysis to document their historic program performance.
Project examples include the 242-acre Frisco Station mixed-use development; the adjoining mixed-use 91-acre The Star, home of the Dallas Cowboys; and the 2,200-acre Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.
